Description
This is a broad-spectrum insecticide and a combination of two insecticides. This formulation is effective in controlling major chewing and sucking insect pests. Fipronil blocks the insect nervous system, and Chlorantraniliprole affects the calcium channels in muscle fibres, which prevents muscle contraction and causes feeding inhibition.
Benefits
- Its dual mode of action ensures efficient pest control
- Its systemic and contact action ensures thorough pest elimination
- It reduces crop damage and promotes healthier plant growth
- Its residual effect provides long term protection in crops and reduces the need for frequent application
How does it works
Fipronil blocks the GABA-gated chloride channels in the insect nervous system and creates hyperexcitation and paralysis, ultimately leading to the death of the insect. Chlorantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors, which causes calcium ion release in muscles and leads to feeding cessation and insect death.
