Description

Mode of Action

The mode of action of carbendazim involves interference in the biosynthesis of DNA during fungal cell division. As benomyl and thiophanate-methyl have a highly specific mode of action, resistant strains of fungal pathogens have been developed. Mancozeb interferes with enzymes containing sulphydryl groups, disrupting several biochemical processes within the fungal cell cytoplasm and mitochondria.
