Description
Mode of action
Cartap hydrochloride 4% + Fipronil 0.5% CG is a carbamate insecticide that works by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase in the nervous system of insects. This leads to an accumulation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which results in overstimulation of the insect’s nervous system, leading to paralysis and ultimately death. It is effective against a wide range of insect pests, including aphids, caterpillars, thrips, and whiteflies. Fipronil, on the other hand, works by targeting the GABA receptor in the insect’s nervous system. This receptor is responsible for inhibiting the activity of nerve cells, and Fipronil disrupts this inhibition, leading to overstimulation of the nervous system and ultimately paralysis and the death of the insect. It is highly effective against a wide range of insect pests, including termites, ants, cockroaches, and fleas.
