Fenpyroximate 5% EC

Fenpyroximate is a highly active pyrazole acaricide that acts as a contact and stomach poison. Fenpyroximate is extremely effective at controlling red spider mites, pink and purple tea mites, yellow chilli mites, and Eriophyid mites of coconut. It belongs to the family of Mitochondrial Complex I Electron Transport Inhibitors. It inhibits mitochondrial complex I from rat liver and spider mites with a potency difference of less than tenfold.

Mode of action

Quick knockdown activity on larvae, nymphs, and adults, primarily through contact and ingestion. On nymphs, it also inhibits moulting and oviposition. Fenpyroximate 5% EC disrupts the energy generation process at complex 1 mitochondrial electron transport.
