Description
Mode of Action
Kitazine 48 % EC works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of chitin, a major component of the cell walls of fungi. This disrupts the growth and development of the fungus, leading to its death. Kitazine is a systemic fungicide, which means that it is absorbed by the leaves and roots of plants and transported throughout the plant, providing protection from fungal infection. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption weakens the integrity of the fungal cells, leading to cell leakage and subsequent fungal death.
